sidd_k2002, Just move forward and sent the necessary sponsorship letter so that they can go ahead and get the visitors visa. Do you have any brothers and sisters living in India that are still with your parents? If so, they can show that as a reason why they would not like to stay back in US.
Stop worrying and think positive. Since Graduation is a BIG event and its once in a life-time event, the presence of parents at the honoring ceremony is the dream for every child. Your parents should convey this point to the VO.

When you filed for your 485's did you check the column and mentioned each other as dependents and mentioned each other's A#'s? If not each of your applications would be processed separately. When you replied to your RFE you should have written a letter to them about your husband's case.
Should we wait until my PD becomes current, to try to link our aplications? Is that necessary? Is there any danger that my husband's 485 application might get lost if USCIS denies our request to link his case to mine now since my PD is not current?
Don't know if this matters, but just this week, I got a RFE for employment verification. We have now sent necessary documents as requested by the dept.

Yeah it was on fox news live, This guy Tom Tancredo says people dont have "right to green card". As far as I understand I dont beleive that I have a right to green card and I beleive vast majority people on this forum know that fact.
Mere submitting AOS application does not guarentee Green card for anyone , If Tom Tancredo has problem with lawsuits for due process he should be more concerned how CIS handled 60000 applications in 12 working days.

ACLU is using USCIS/FBI over namecheck delays. Not sure if the lawsuit is limited to Citizenship applicants or GC applicants can be included.

Regarding your 1st issue...My lawyer advised me to attach the scan copy with 485, but definately have the originals in hand in case there is a RFE.
I don't want to take a chance, so Iam asking my parents to send it through 2nd day fedex as well. It will cost me maybe another Rs 2-3000, but what the hell..

I just had a response back from the MSDN boards that I need to hit test to find out which UI Element is being clicked. I will explore this route and will hopefully find an answer to post here.
In the event handler for the UI element you click, simply do a cast such as "sender as UIElement". That will give you a reference to the element you are trying to find.

do you think the USCIS will not make the decision on the 2nd 140 until the appeal is processed. If thats the case then the 2nd 140 approval will take a long time.
I'm also in the same situation and my lawyer refiled 140 in EB3 and he was suggesting to withdraw the appeal on the denied EB2-140. Last week I spoke to Rajeev Khanna and he also suggested the same.

While listing the house the seller signs an agreement with the agent that they would go thru that agent. So directly dealing with the seller may not be an option. Now, there are home selling agencies who charges a fixed amount ($3000). And some times the seller tries to sell the house directly; in that case they would not be able to list the house in the MLS. Hence many sellers do not go this route.
and the seller basically prices it into the sale price... which why when buying next time .. i would ask to deal with the seller directly.. get an attorney to do the paperwork and diligence for $600 and ask the seller to keep 1% and give me a 5% discount.lil leg work and you save like 25k on 500k house.

To me this latest I485 filing issue is about as low at it gets. Specially the way it was handled, and the stick approach afterwords with no regrets by any one. (amongst others FBI name checks, retrogression, Country Caps, etc. etc.)
Some Keywords to ponder on / References.
Rice, Condoleezza - A little Inconvenience for applicants
Journalists - Wrinkle in reporting numbers by USCIS
Lets respect ourselves a little better and take a stand, not be docile and humble specially when given the stick. The tougher the immigration gets, the better, provided its dealt fairly and unequivocally.

One of my friends got B1 Visa(business visa, it�s valid for 10 years) through a company AAA in January 2008, still he is working for the same company in India, till now he didn't use his B1.
He applied H1-B through a company BBB, recently he received all his H1-B documents, his H1-B company suggested him to come to U.S on B1 and they want to file an amendment to change his status to H1 after coming to US.
My friend want to resign the company in this month and he want to go for training after resigning his job, it will take 2 months for completing the training.
He is planning to come to U.S in February 2009 on B1.
Could any one please help us with your valuable suggestions for the following questions?
Is it possible to come to U.S on B1 even after resigning the job?
Is there any possibility that the company revoke his B1?
What are the documents required to come to U.S on B1?

My H1 has expired on 31st August, 2009. My disgraced company applied for extention in the month of May 2009 in regular Processing. Still waiting for Approval and have Receipt Notice only from Vermount center.:confused::mad::(:(:eek::eek:

it is possible for company B to apply as a future employee. But if you do not join company B after the GC is approved, it constitutes fraud on your part and that of the company.

also in same situation. Recently did a interfile from EB3 to EB2 ( diff employer ). No update yet. There is a soft LUD on my I 485 but no update in status. Did any one ported recently ?

Your parents should provide your address as the USA residence address while filling the form at port of entry. Sometimes the immigration officer at port of entry may call you to verify.
