I'm in my 3rd year of my first H1-B which will be expired Sep. 2011.
If I transfer my H1-B now to another company, then do I automatically get another 3 years or do I have to file an extension after my H1-B has been transferred?

Everybody please post the names of attorneys who are easy / not easy, safe / not safe to deal with. People can post the names of the attorneys and a brief description (without specifics) about the problems / happy endings, they encountered. This could become an excellent review post for immigration lawyers. we could also maybe put 3 or 4 criteria to score them from 1 to 4. for eg:-
availability to answer questions
timely filing
acurate filing (with all documents)
current with legal provisions and latest changes
overall easiness to work with
cost
etc etc
Experts pls join in to fix the scoring pattern. We need to know the crooks and the good samaritarians out there.

You can use RichTextBox for inlining hyperlinks. It is available in WPF and Silverlight 4 projects. Your hyperlink can even be a path to a file :)

While you could have two H1B with two different employers, it is logically impossible for both to be full-time positions. So logically, you could have one full-time position and one part-time position or both as part-time positions. In either case you I-129 will have to be amended to show that you are in part-time position with the employer.

Currently working with Company A, where I have I-140 approved. The employer is willing to file I-485. Also have a better offer with Company B, and have H1B approved. Is it possible for me to take leave from company A (using my PTO) and joint company B, keeping both jobs on H1B status?
As my H1B is valid with 2 companies, and both are for full time positions. Is it okay for me to be actively employed with both companies at the same time for 2 or 3 months? Do I violate any H1B regulation, that may cause denial of I-485 at later stage?

NIW 140 approved last year. EB1a 140 RFE/485 pending. Can I file a new 485 for NIW? or do I have to withdraw the pending 485 before filing the new 485?

i have a valid H1 visa on my passport till 14th dec 2007. yesterday i got the new I-797 with I-94(I-94 dates are mentioned as 15th Dec 2007 to 14th Dec 2010). Since my visa is expiring on 14th Dec 2007, I want to go for stamping before Dec 2007 to Nogales (i have some travel plans in Jan 2008). When can i go for(how soon) stamping. I am planning to go this sept. CAn I ?????

Last year CIR expired. Yes, senate must pass its own version of the bill. It could be that it will be a very similar to CIR from last year. If only house passes its own bill, and no senate bill is passed, there is no new law. Both chambers must act in order to create a new binding law.

- GC renewal ?
- US citizenship ?
- OTHER problems (GC Cancelation, Deportation...)

- reason stating bad economy ?

USCIS recently issued a Memo that amends Adjudicator�s Field Manual on General Form I-140 Issues. Many issues are covered, but one of particular interest to our PERM (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-1135851.html)readers is the Labor Certification Validity for Labor Certifications with an Ending Validity Date that Falls on a Saturday, Sunday or Federal Legal Holiday.
DOL has established a 180-day validity period for approved labor certifications. See 20 CFR 656.30(b). An approved labor certification must be filed in support of a Form 1-140 petition during the labor certification's validity period. DOL has not published any guidance regarding the treatment of labor certifications that effectively have a validity period of less than 180 days due to an ending validity date that falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or a federal legal holiday.
USCIS will accept the filing of 1-140 petitions where the supporting labor certification validity period ends on a Saturday, Sunday or federal legal holiday on the next business day, i.e., the next day that is not a Saturday, Sunday or federal legal holiday. Hi, I'm trying to take 2 kids from my daycare to see their dad before he gets deported. The mom cant do it because she has a restraining order against him. Is it possible to visit someone once they get picked up by immigration from jail? If so how and what do I need to do to make this happen? I'm trying to do this for the kids, they don't understand what is going on and they feel responsible, they are the ones that called 911. Mom has no problem with me doing this she just wants the kids to see that their father is OK.

I believe that you can travel to India - no need to worry. You can use your AP while returning - and it will work even if your GC has been approved. I personally saw this working for my friend couple of years back. He and his wife travelled to India - I was checking their mails for them. I received their GC while they were in India. They didn't have any problems in returning using AP.
